Magnetic Rotary Encoder Assembly Instructions

Make sure you have all the hardware and 3D-printed parts for the default size magnetic rotary encoder.

sandwich the 6906 bearing between BEARING HOLDER part and the SPACER

secure the control board to the BEARING HOLDER using 3x M1.4x10mm self-tapping screws.

If you plan to use capacitive touch instead of the onboard button, you will need to solder a short wire to the CAP TOUCHPAD and the CONTROL BOARD, you will see the corresponding pads on both boards.

if you are only using the button, skip this step

the CAP TOUCHPAD should be glued to the BEARING HOLDER

install encoding magnets 36x 63x1mm in an alternating pole configuration, the magnets should be press fit, but glue may also be used.

attach knob

installing the mounting base is optional, and it may not be needed for your specific application.

secure the base to the encoder using 2x M2x8mm self-tapping screws.
